§ 38-5. Opening fire hydrants and damaging other fire suppression apparatus.
Latest version.
Any person who shall, without authority of the city, open any fire hydrant, except
for the purpose of extinguishing a fire, or who shall purposefully injure or impair
same, or who shall, without the authority of the owner, willfully break, injure, destroy
or disturb any auxiliary firefighting appliance, including fire extinguishers, sprinkler
systems, standpipe systems, and the like, within the city shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
