§ 62-126. Composition; administrative authority generally.

  • (a)

    The general administration, management and responsibility for the proper operation of the retirement system and for construing and making effective the provisions of this article is vested in a board of trustees. The board shall consist of six trustees as follows:

    (1)

    Two members of the council, to be selected by the council and to serve at the pleasure of the council.

    (2)

    The city manager shall serve by virtue of his position.

    (3)

    A police officer or firefighter member to be elected by the police officer and firefighter members.

    (4)

    A general member to be elected by the general members.

    (5)

    One city retiree appointed by the municipal council.

    (b)

    The trustees provided in subsections (a)(3) and (4) of this section shall be elected under such rules and regulations as the board shall from time to time adopt.
