§ 34-71. Legislative findings.

Latest version.
  • The municipal council hereby finds that excessive quantities of soil may erode from certain areas that are undergoing an earth change. This erosion would make necessary costly repairs to gullies, washed-out fills, roads, and embankments. The resulting sediment would clog storm sewers and road ditches, muddy streams and place silt in lakes and reservoirs and is considered a major water pollutant.
